隨著都市生活逐漸急促的節奏,我們每天都被數之不盡的壓力纏繞。適度的壓力雖能成為動力,但長期累積和壓抑,不單會影響我們的情緒,更有損身心健康。壓力過大只會帶來各種負能量,然後蔓延至他人。

 

要根治這個問題和它的後遺症,首先要從改善睡眠著手。古語有云:「一日之計在於晨。」我們要

有充足和高質素的睡眠才能應付和面對每天的各種壓力。

「鬆」是一個會呼吸的抱枕,專門針對因壓力過大而引起的失眠。透過抱著會呼吸的抱枕,同時利用穴道按摩來幫助入睡,放鬆身心和試著感受放慢的呼吸節奏。這樣不單能加快入睡、改善睡眠質素,還能抒發繁重的壓力。

 

這個設計能有助都市人捨去每天的煩惱和把壓力抒發,能在繁囂都市中放慢步伐,開放自己的思想,嘗試以多角度去面對事物和擁抱世界。與此同時,也開放了現代人對中醫學和道家思想的認識和接觸,把當中的概念融入生活。

Stress is a huge concern globally over the past decades. The optimum level of pressure could help us to be creative, productive, decisive, alert, and stimulated. However, too much pressure may result in harmful effects on our health. Chronic stress could lead to serious health problems physically and psychologically. Sleep is found to be one of the effective solutions for reducing stress.

Therefore, we design SOM, a breathing pillow that applies the Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, to enhance sleep. Acupuncture points can be stimulated to help fall asleep faster and stay asleep. The breathing rhythm of the pillow can also slow down the breathing rate, enhancing deep breathing to reduce stress.

We hope this design can advocate people to slow down, open their minds and enjoy their life. Meanwhile, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory and Taoism can be promoted and emerged into everyday life.
